Head of Mortality and Risk Factors study

Vladimir M. Shkolnikov leads Mortality and Risk Factors study of IPCDR project. Respective part of work concerns collection, processing, and analysing existing population-level data on Russia and Russian regions and micro-level data from a variety of Russian and international surveys. The research activities include studies on life expectancy and cause-specific mortality across time and space, quality and international comparability of cause-of-death registration and coding, prevalence and determinants of important health behaviours and risk factors. Most of the works are being conducted at the Higher School of Economics in Russia by members of its International Lab on Population and Health.
